Selling A PT6A? We Buy Outright.
Run-out, hot section due, sudden stoppage, incomplete, sitting on a parked airframe, or a core with no records — we are buyers, for our own account. No consignment period, no listing fee, no waiting for someone else's buyer.
Send the model and dash number, serial, total time and time since overhaul, cycles, current status and where it sits. That is enough for a number.
About the PT6A
The Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A is the most widely used turboprop in general aviation, in production since the 1960s and with hundreds of millions of flight hours behind it. Its reverse-flow, free-turbine layout is why the same basic engine covers everything from a Cheyenne to a PC-12 to a crop duster.
For a buyer, the depth of that installed base is the whole point: parts, shops and overhaul capacity genuinely exist worldwide, and a used PT6A has a real resale market rather than a scrap value. It also means the dash number matters more than people expect — power ratings, gearboxes and installation hardware differ across the family, and a -42 is not a -41 with a sticker.
Buying Or Selling A PT6A?
Either direction, tell us the model and the situation. We come back with a real number, not a runaround.
